My House Call Chiropractor offers you a ‘no waiting room’ environment by providing on-site, quality chiropractic services via mobile house calls to your own home, workplace, or lodging. 

Where does My House Call Chiropractor travel?

My House Call Chiropractor serves all of Mount Pleasant, IOP, and Sullivans Island. Locations services vary. Weekend appointments are available. If you live outside these areas, contact us and depending on location, we might be able to help you or refer you to someone who can.

How should I prepare my space?

First of all, no need to clean your home or tidy up — we’re here to lighten your burdens, not add to them! Have a space available about the size of 5′ x 8′ for the doctor’s portable chiropractic table/equipment. 

Your equipment must be heavy! Will you need help carrying it into my house?

Absolutely not. We’ve got it covered!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes. Loose fitting or athletic wear is great. Avoid tight-fitting clothing and skirts if possible. 

What happens in a house call Chiropractic appointment?

In some ways, one could say that chiropractic care is a bit like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if you tried to build your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually may even collapse. If you tried to build your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. These concepts apply to your body as well, and chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body’s foundation, than that needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. With chiropractic care, your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully

If this is your first visit, the doctor will evaluate your health history, examine your area of complaint and provide treatment. During your Report of Findings (after examination and first visit), Dr Hagmeyer will explain what he found during the examination, what your X-rays show (if applicable) and lastly make recommendations for a treatment plan and cost of treatment plan. This is usually done through a screen share on the computer and takes about 15-20 minutes. 

Will I feel better right away?

Yes, No, Maybe?. Often times people feel better right away, but not always. When a person has lived with chronic health challenges, there may be a less linear path to feeling better. Others may go through an even longer healing process. There are many variables which factor into a person’s experience. We will discuss any of these variables with you when treatment recommendations are given. 

When it comes to healing, one thing we know for sure is that the mind is a powerful ally. The more positive and optimistic a person is, the better the odds of feeling better sooner. We are very proud of our great record for helping our patients achieve a level of health and well-being that they didn’t know was possible.

What can I do between appointments to feel better faster?

We heartily invite you to be an active, engaged participant in your care. Any recommended exercises, stretches, ice/heat applications, lifestyle changes, or other active processes will speed your way to optimum progress. These are typically reviewed at your 2nd or 3rd appointment.

What forms of payment does My House Call Chiropractor accept?

My House Call Chiropractor accepts credit cards, debit cards, FSA or HSA for payment. Appointments are reserved in 24-48 hours in advance. During this time you be receive and invoice. One the invoice is paid, your will receive and email confirming the days and time of your appointment.  

Does My House Call Chiropractor accept insurance?

My House Call Chiropractor is a fee-for-service practice; Concierge Practice. My House Call Chiropractor and Dr Hagmeyer are out-of-network providers for all insurance companies and do not provide insurance billing. If you have chiropractic benefits and would like to apply for reimbursement from your insurance carrier, you may request a statement of services, once the service has been performed. This is referred to as a ‘SuperBill’, that you may submit on your own behalf. If insurance approves of your claim, they will reimburse you directly. This can sometimes take 6-8 weeks.

Cancelation Policy

Because of the travel and extra time requirements of the house call model, efficient scheduling is a top priority. We require a 48 hour notice prior to cancellation. We do not offer refunds if proper notification is not provided. If you are not home during your appointment, and we have confirmed your appointment, you are charged for the visit.
